Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the foreign exchange exposure, liquidity, interest rate and applicable compliance risks associated with all treasury aspects for the Financial Controller. The Treasury Officer must design and utilize tools to anticipate, communicate and mitigate these risks in a timely manner

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Continuously assess the most efficient cash management strategies and advise the Financial Controller and Group Treasury of any required/appropriate changes.
  • Implement and maintain efficient cash management procedures to minimize financing costs by ensuring cash, held in low interest-bearing accounts, is applied against borrowings.
  • Obtain approval from Group Treasury for the opening and closing of bank accounts. Ensure bank accounts remain relevant and fit for purpose to reduce complexity and ensure that any dormant accounts are closed immediately.
  • Ensure bank charges are negotiated and reviewed regularly.
  • Monitor, assess and manage the liquidity risk of the operations by developing and using efficient cash forecasting tools, understanding the economic environment and ensuring adequate headroom is available on short term facilities.

  • Negotiate facilities with banks in conjunction with Group Treasury and Group Legal obtaining final approval before execution.

Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible in supporting the definition and implementation of the S&OP Ways, related strategies and integrated business planning across supply planning.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Implement and execute defined best practices, minimum standards, policies, processes, tools, technology and enablers in the relevant ways

Job Purpose

Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible to attend to all tax matters (direct and indirect tax) of the Company related to the business with the relevant stakeholders within and outside the Company.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely submission of all Company’s tax Returns (supported by accurate tax calculations and required supporting documents) and payments to TRA.
  • Ensuring all tax returns are annually reconciled with the Audited Financial Statements of the Company.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of tax related accounts to ensure the accuracy and correctness of ledger transactions.

  • Working closely with the Clearing agents in reviewing the imported goods supporting documents to ensure the correctness of declarations made by Clearing Agent in terms of the correct Harmonised System (HS codes) and Customs Procedure Codes (CPC) of the any imported capital and other goods as well as verification of the completeness of the imported goods supporting documents to ensure that all taxes related to imported items by the Company are calculated accurately in accordance with the applicable tax laws and the tax due are paid in time.
  • Timely lodge applications with TRA on behalf of the Company for the applicable tax “exemptions/reliefs” available such as the VAT deferment of applicable capital items, import duty exemptions on deemed capital goods etc.
  • Proactively following up with TRA on the applications lodged such that the same are obtained in time prior to arrival of the goods that qualify for the above-mentioned tax exemptions/reliefs.
