Job Purpose

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide accurate and timeous first point-of-call HR services admin query resolution.

Job Qualification and Experience

Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all manufacturing instruments are working properly, accurately and effectively.

Duties and Accountabilities:

• Attend to calls on instrument problems during shifts. 
• Inspect tests, adjust, and repair electric, electronic, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments in the factory. 
• Inspects meters, indicators, and gauges to detect abnormal fluctuations. 
• Removes defective instruments from system, disassembles, clean instruments, replace defective parts and reassemble instruments, using hand tools. 
• Lubricates instruments and replaces defective wiring and tubing 
• Conduct tasks related with maintenance and operations teams. 
• Conduct preventative maintenance on stop days and off-crop period 
• Fill logbook on the defects which occurred during the shift. 
• Ensures that all operations are carried out as per the ISO 9001: 2000 Quality Management System at Kilombero Sugar to achieve the quality standards. 
• Performs all tasks according to Kilombero Sugar’s Quality, Safety, Health and Environment policies and procedures.

Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be responsible for Maintenance of Machines and machine parts during off crop and crushing season.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure all electrical work follow safety standards (LOTO, Wearing PPE, Grounding/Earthing is correct, preventing fire hazard related to electricity).
• Ensure safe and standard installation of electrical equipment such as motors, panels, switches, VSDs, all motor starters and lighting system
• Carry out routine inspection of motors, MCCs, control panels, cable condition (Connection and insulation).
• Carry out testing of protection devices (overload trips, fuses, MCCB and ELCB).
• Ensure cleaning and tightening of electrical circuit terminal is done correctly.
• Respond to Electrical breakdowns to minimize plant downtime during season crushing if needed.
• Ensure safe fault tracing in electrical circuits by reading design drawings.
• Reporting breakdown causes and corrective actions
• Ensure electrical drawing is updated after any modification in Circuit.
• Able to work with other discipline to make plant reliable
• Carry out inspections according to checklist, make spot repairs where necessary and report all findings at daily meeting.
• Repairs any defective electrical machine during crushing and off crop
• Monitor the performance of the electrical equipment.

Job Requirements:

Job Purpose

• Together with the teams, achieve shift, daily, weekly, monthly and off-crop shutdown targets ensuring that tasks are prioritized and planned in a logical, systematic and cost-effective way to optimize profitability.
• Develop budget for discipline with Maintenance Head, finance business partner, optimization/ CoE and manage costs effectively.

• Manage iAMP policy adherence to practices amongst maintenance teams.
•  Manage work quality to reduce rework and increase plant reliability.

Job Purpose
The Irrigation Team Lead is responsible for controlling and coordinating the quality of irrigation operations and assists management in the development of irrigation plans to ensure long-term growth development and sustainability as well as Implement the “Illovo Way of sugar cane production” to ensure Illovo is the best-in-class sugar producer in the Country.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Supervise irrigation activities, through the inspection of irrigation lines/furrows on each field given to each individual
• Controls work performance by recording daily attendance, irrigation cycles, irrigation scheduling and pressure monitoring
• Ensure that work standards are adhered to by allocating task to his/her gang and recording man-days used per activity
• Responsible for safeguarding the crop by reporting any unusual occurrences i.e. fire, floods, smut, weeds, pests in the field, theft etc.
• Manage team performance and conduct
• Ensure irrigation lines have been placed in the correct locations by physical inspection of all irrigation lines after every shift
• Ensure complete number of irrigation equipment to comply with field geographical position by taking field inventory and Ensure irrigation lines are shifted as per set standards
• Ensure good system arrangement to stabilize overlap uniformity by ensuring correct spacing of irrigation lines and use of correct irrigation equipment e.g. sprinkler and nozzles etc.
• Conduct on the job training and instruction on various farm activities
• Responsible for irrigation equipment inventory and submits inventory reports to the farm supervisor

Job Purpose
Develop BMS sales, marketing, production and logistics strategy with a view towards long-term growth, optimal efficiency and sustainability. Be the custodian of the BU fertiliser brand, deliver revenue and cost ambition in line with BMS fertilizer.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Build a strategic profit centre business strategy for the sale of liquid fertiliser to Kilombero Growers and Kilombero Estate (Product Mix/Price/Volume Revenue vs Cost Optimisation)
• Collaborate with the Commercial function and the Kilombero Grower function to build a Brand through a marketing and sales strategy and tactical execution plan to create and sustain a viable grower BMS liquid fertiliser offtake of 25 800tons.
• Develop plans and optimise the execution of BMS blending and application in collaboration with BMS team, Distillery Factory Manager, Kilombero Estate, Kilombero Growers, Finance and Commercial teams.
•  Develop and control BMS operational budget, revenue, and capital budget
•  Develop maintenance and upgrade programs for BMS plant operations and fleet to support efficient production.
• Monitor and report on BMS Plant and application performance.
• Align BMS performance to achieve business imperatives and goals and manage delivery against KPIs.
• Together with the team, drive the planning of shift, daily, weekly, and monthly performance targets against operational goals and customer requirements.
• Identify loss/waste/barriers across the value chain and prioritise weekly activities to address these, to ensure that improvements are made.
• Drive rigorous performance management, biased towards rewarding strong performance and compliance with critical behaviours, including managing consequences where required.

• Proven track record of effectively developing and implementing strategies through managing budgets, people and resources to meet business KPIs.
• Excellent business acumen and agronomy expertise, with the ability to anticipate and interpret changes impacting the functional area.
• Experience in fertiliser business development or sales is preferred and an added advantage
